This is the original and main storyline for my Arcane poly selfship.
Jo - Poly Self Ship with Jinx and Silco

This Jo grew up in Zaun, managed to establish herself as an independent chemist (possibly sponsored by Finn or the like; not quite the level of Singed, though) who typically kept her head down, but seeks protection from Silco when things go wrong after she develops a substance that reacts with Shimmer in rather violent or explosive ways (she ends up calling this substance "Gleam") and refuses to hand the reins of her discovery to Finn when demanded- she barely survives this confrontation, and ends up burning down her lab to avoid him having access to it, and goes on the run, bitter over the loss of basically her entire life. She was doing what she needed to survive, staying low, and still, she ends up losing everything, so that kind of fucks her up a bit. Found by Jinx when using some of the substance to fight off some Shimmer junkies who had cornered her, Jinx decides to recruit/befriend/rescue her because she "seems fun" and there is instant attraction though Jinx doesn't expect it to last as she's had whims before.
Silco initially takes her in to get her to reveal the formula for Gleam (or a sample for Singed to analyze) and then she won't be needed anymore, but Jo is reluctant to give up her only leverage and so shenanigans (manipulations, mainly on Silco's end, first to intimidate and then to get her to trust him though he plans to get rid of her as a nuisance once things are done - he is in denial about liking her spirit lol) ensue. Jo ends up sleeping in Jinx's workshop a lot (she has insomnia at night and needs a safe place to sleep during the day) and since Jinx likes her, Silco can't do much about it but they eventually get closer, begrudgingly on Silco's end. In the end it is Jinx who convinces Silco to admit he loves Jo too. Eventually Jo becomes part of Silco's crew and participates in fighting by Jinx's side... the events of Arcane post-initial timeskip do not happen in this story so things stay mostly okay, at least re: the status quo. At least, that's the basic timeline...
